About

North Star Science is an informational side project by me, Dan Voss--coming to you out of the north suburbs, blocks from the Mississippi. I'm on the Next Generation Science Storylines team at Northwestern University and have spent the last couple years leading units and writing for the OpenSciEd High School Chemistry course and middle school computer science project, after years teaching high school chemistry and physics. I'm also a PhD student in STEM Education at the U, where I teach Physics by Inquiry. I occasionally facilitate professional development, am the social media coordinator for MnSTA, and co-host the podcast Unpack Everything: Science Education Reform in the Real World.
